What We Can Supply

If you work in mining or quarrying, we can supply non-sparking tools, gas detection, lifting gear, diamond cutting equipment and heavy-duty PPE rated for the application. Mining and quarrying are among the most demanding environments for both tools and people. Dust, gas hazards, heavy loads and working at depth all create specific requirements, and we focus on equipment that is properly rated for them.

Non-sparking ATEX tools including beryllium copper and aluminium bronze hand tools for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, including methane-risk underground working environments, fuel handling areas and chemical processing associated with mineral extraction. We supply Ega Master and Ampco Safety Tools, both ATEX and IECEx certified with full documentation available.

Gas detection including personal gas monitors and area monitoring instruments for methane (LEL), carbon monoxide, oxygen deficiency and hydrogen sulphide detection. The Mines Regulations 2014 require gas detection for underground coal mines, and gas monitoring is also relevant in other underground environments including tunnels and certain quarry operations. Dräger, Crowcon and MSA Safety all produce instruments suitable for mining applications.

Diamond cutting and drilling including diamond core drill bits, diamond saw blades and diamond drill bits for concrete, granite, limestone and other hard materials. We supply Marcrist and Mexco for diamond tooling. Tell us the material and cut specification, and we can advise on the right product.

Lifting gear and rigging including chain slings, wire rope slings, shackles, hooks, swivels, eye bolts and turnbuckles for lifting operations in surface and underground environments. We supply Crosby and Pewag for certified lifting hardware. Test certificates and load ratings are provided on request, which is essential for any lifting equipment used in mining operations.

Mining and quarrying PPE including hard hats, safety boots with midsole penetration protection, hi-vis clothing, dust masks and respirators, hearing protection for high-noise environments, safety glasses and gloves. We supply Portwest, MSA Safety and 3M. For dust-intensive quarrying environments, EN 149 FFP3 respiratory protection is appropriate for fine respirable dust, including silica dust from silica-bearing minerals.
