Lifting & Rigging Equipment.
Chain blocks, lever hoists, wire rope slings, webbing slings, shackles, hooks and rigging hardware for construction, offshore, manufacturing and industrial use. LOLER-compliant.
We supply lifting and rigging equipment, sometimes called lifting gear, hoisting equipment, crane slings, rigging hardware or overhead lifting equipment, to construction companies, manufacturing and fabrication facilities, oil and gas operators, shipyards, offshore platforms and general industrial users across the UK and internationally.
All lifting equipment we supply is designed and manufactured to comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the relevant British and European standards. Safe working loads (SWL), also referred to as working load limits (WLL) or rated capacities, are clearly marked on every product, and test certificates and declarations of conformity are available on request.
LOLER Compliance
All lifting equipment we supply is compliant with LOLER 1998. Test certificates and declarations of conformity are available on request, so do let us know your documentation requirements when you enquire.
What We Supply
Chain Blocks & Manual Chain Hoists
Manual chain blocks (chain hoists / hand chain hoists) for lifting loads vertically, in capacities from 500kg to 20 tonnes, with single and double reduction gear options for different lift speeds. Stainless steel and spark-resistant versions handle aggressive environments. These are used in workshops, shipyards, construction and plant maintenance. We stock Tractel and Yale Lifting.
Lever Hoists & Ratchet Hoists
Lever hoists (ratchet lever hoists / come-alongs / tirfors) for pulling, tensioning and lifting at any angle, in capacities from 750kg to 9 tonnes. They are used for load securing, rigging tension and equipment positioning where vertical lifting is not possible, as well as on offshore platforms, construction sites and vessel mooring.
Wire Rope Slings
Wire rope slings (steel wire rope slings / cable slings) in single-leg, two-leg, three-leg and four-leg assemblies, with end fittings including swaged ferrule, mechanical splice and master links. Grades 6×19 and 6×36 are available in fibre core (FC) and independent wire rope core (IWRC), with working load limits calculated to EN 13414-1. Socketed and spelter socket assemblies can be made to order.
Webbing Slings & Round Slings
Flat webbing slings (woven webbing slings) in 1T to 10T capacity, compliant with EN 1492-1, in endless and eye-and-eye configurations. Round slings (endless round slings / soft slings / polyester roundslings) comply with EN 1492-2 and suit delicate loads or jobs where surface protection matters. All are colour-coded by WLL to the standard scheme (violet=1T, green=2T, yellow=3T etc.).
Shackles
Bow shackles (anchor shackles / omega shackles) and D shackles (chain shackles / dee shackles) in grades S (standard) and G (high tensile / Grade 6), with screw pin and bolt-type (nut and cotter pin) fittings, in capacities from 0.5T to 300T and above. Stainless steel shackles cover marine and corrosive environments. Crosby G-209, G-213 and G-2130 shackles are widely specified on offshore projects.
Hooks, Eyebolts & Rigging Screws
Swivel hooks, clevis hooks, grab hooks, safety hooks and self-locking hooks for sling and chain assemblies. Eyebolts (plain shank and shouldered) and eye nuts to BS 4278. Rigging screws (turnbuckles / bottle screws) for tensioning wire ropes and cables, and beam clamps (girder clamps) for attaching hoists and slings to structural steelwork.
