Height Safety & Access Equipment.
Fall protection, harnesses, lanyards, self-retracting lifelines, rope access equipment, confined space tripods and ladders for work at height and confined space entry.
We supply height safety equipment, sometimes called fall protection, work at height equipment, fall arrest equipment, personal fall protection (PFP), rope access equipment (IRATA) or height safety gear, to construction companies, oil and gas operators, wind turbine maintenance teams, utilities, marine, rail and industrial maintenance companies across the UK and internationally.
All height safety equipment we supply is compliant with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR) and the relevant EN standards. Petzl, Tractel and Spanset are our primary suppliers, and we also stock Werner and Lyte Ladders for access equipment, and TB Davies for tower systems.
Work at Height Regulations 2005
All equipment we supply is suitable for use under the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and declarations of conformity are available on request. For rope access applications, just let us know whether you need IRATA-compliant equipment.
What We Supply
Full Body Harnesses
Fall arrest harnesses (full body harnesses / safety harnesses) compliant with EN 361, with single and double dorsal D-ring, comfortable padding for extended wear and adjustment to suit all body sizes. We also stock work positioning harnesses (EN 358) for hands-free working at height and confined space rescue harnesses (EN 1497). Petzl and MSA Safety are the benchmark brands, and hi-vis options are available for site use.
Lanyards & Connecting Equipment
Energy-absorbing lanyards (shock-absorbing lanyards / fall arrest lanyards) compliant with EN 354 and EN 355, in single and twin-leg (Y-lanyard / twin-tail) form for 100% tie-off on steel structures, available as rope, webbing and wire rope lanyards. We also supply karabiners (snap hooks) and connectors compliant with EN 362, and rope grabs (fall arresters for kernmantle rope).
Self-Retracting Lifelines (SRLs)
Self-retracting lifelines, also known as fall limiters, inertia reels, SRLs or retractable lanyards, compliant with EN 360, in steel cable and webbing types. Compact personal models (1.5m–3m) suit overhead anchor points, while long-range SRLs (6m–30m) cover leading-edge applications. The auto-locking mechanism stops a fall within 500mm of drop activation.
Rope Access Equipment
Rope access (IRATA / SPRAT) equipment including sit harnesses, descenders (figure-8 / stop devices), ascenders (jumar clamps), rope grabs, cowstails, rigging plates and auxiliary devices, plus kernmantle ropes (static and dynamic) and accessory cord. This is the kit used by industrial rope access technicians working on wind turbines, offshore structures, bridges and buildings. Petzl is the market-leading brand.
Confined Space Equipment
Confined space entry and rescue tripods (rescue tripods / entry tripods), winches (davit arms / man-riding winches), man-riding systems and escape devices, compliant with EN 795 and BS 8005, for entry into tanks, vessels, sumps, manholes, sewers and other confined spaces. Gas detection should always be used alongside confined space equipment, so see our Gas Detection page.
Ladders & Access Equipment
Aluminium extension ladders, combination ladders, step ladders, roof ladders (cat ladders), podium steps and platform steps, plus fibreglass ladders for electrical work and mobile scaffold towers (DIY aluminium towers). All are EN 131 rated and BS 2037 compliant. Werner and Lyte Ladders are the primary brands, with TB Davies for tower systems and podium steps.
