The SCANGRIP MULTIMATCH range uses tunable white LED technology, so the user can adjust the colour temperature of the output from warm (2,700K) through neutral to cool daylight (6,500K) to match the ambient lighting where the finished vehicle will be viewed. That addresses a specific problem in bodyshop work, since a repair that looks correct under the bodyshop’s fixed artificial lighting can show a visible colour difference outside in daylight. MULTIMATCH lighting lets the painter check their work under several colour temperatures before sign-off.

Good to Know
CRI (Colour Rendering Index) measures how accurately a light source reveals the true colours of objects compared with daylight. A CRI of 100 is perfect daylight, while most standard LEDs sit at 80 to 85. For automotive paint and bodywork colour matching, CRI 90+ is the minimum professional standard and CRI 95+ is recommended.
