About Parker Pneumatics

Parker Pneumatics is the pneumatic products division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, producing the cylinders, valves, air preparation equipment and fittings that make up the compressed air circuit components of industrial automation and manufacturing machinery. You will find Parker Pneumatics products right across automated manufacturing, wherever a pneumatic actuator, solenoid valve or air preparation unit forms part of a machine or production line.

Pneumatics is simply the use of compressed air to transmit power and motion. A cylinder turns air pressure into linear force to move a load, clamp a workpiece or actuate a mechanism. A solenoid valve routes air to the correct port of the cylinder on command from a PLC or control system. An FRL (filter, regulator, lubricator) conditions the air supply so that clean, dry, regulated and lubricated air reaches the actuators. Parker Pneumatics makes all three, so the full pneumatic circuit can be sourced from one manufacturer.

In the UK, the range is particularly well known for the P1D and P1J series ISO cylinders, built to ISO 15552 standard dimensions and therefore directly interchangeable between manufacturers. When a cylinder in a machine fails and needs replacing, an ISO-standardised Parker cylinder fits the same mounting and port positions as the original, whoever made it, which cuts both the lead time and the cost of maintaining automated production equipment.

Products We Can Supply from Parker Pneumatics

Pneumatic cylinders, P1D ISO and compact series — Parker P1D series ISO 15552 standard double-acting pneumatic cylinders in bore sizes from 32 mm to 250 mm, with standard stroke lengths and mounting configurations (trunnion, foot, flange, clevis). Parker OSPP series compact cylinders suit space-constrained applications, while Parker P1G guided cylinders provide linear guidance without a separate rail. All are available in standard and corrosion-resistant construction for food and chemical environments.

Directional control valves and solenoid valves — Parker P5E series 5/2 and 5/3 single and double solenoid directional control valves for controlling double-acting cylinder direction, Parker P1E series pneumatic pilot valves, and manifold-mounted valve islands (P1R series) for machine building where several valve functions are needed in one location. All are available in 24V DC, 110V AC and 230V AC coil voltages to match different machine control systems.

FRL units, filter, regulator and lubricator — Parker Modular F, FR, FRL and L units in 1/4\”, 3/8\” and 1/2\” BSP port sizes for conditioning compressed air at the point of use. Filters remove particulate and water, regulators set the working pressure, and lubricators mist-lubricate air tools and cylinders that need it. In a properly designed pneumatic system, Parker FRL units sit at every machine air connection to protect actuators and valves from contamination and pressure surges.

Pneumatic fittings, Legris and CPC push-in — Parker Legris push-in fittings for connecting 4 mm to 16 mm pneumatic tubing to equipment and valves, and Parker CPC (Colder Products) push-in fittings for clean-room and food-grade pneumatic applications in stainless steel and plastic construction. The one-touch push-in connection needs no thread sealant or tools, and has become the standard fitting type for modern pneumatic machine building.
