About NTN

NTN Corporation was founded in 1918 in Kuwana, Mie Prefecture, Japan, starting out as Tomoe Trading Company before turning its focus to bearing manufacture. It grew into one of the world’s leading bearing manufacturers, with particular strength in the automotive OEM market. NTN supplies wheel hub bearing units, constant velocity (CV) joints, alternator bearings and transmission bearings as original equipment to major Japanese, European and American vehicle manufacturers.

That automotive expertise shows in the quality of NTN’s aftermarket bearing range, where replacements for wheel hubs, gearboxes and engine auxiliaries are specified to match the dimensions and performance of the OEM bearings they replace. Deep groove ball bearings — NTN deep groove ball bearings in the 6000, 6200 and 6300 series come in bore sizes from 10 mm to 150 mm, in open, shielded (Z, ZZ) and sealed (RS, 2RS) configurations. They are widely used in electric motors, pumps, fans, conveyors and general industrial machinery. All are made to ISO dimensional standards and are directly interchangeable with equivalent bearings from other major manufacturers at the same designation.

Tapered roller bearings — NTN tapered roller bearings come in metric and inch series for automotive wheel hubs, bevel gear assemblies, reduction gearboxes and any application combining radial and axial load. The automotive aftermarket range covers the most common wheel bearing applications across European, Japanese and American vehicles. The cup-and-cone assembly is supplied as a matched pair for the correct preload specification.

Spherical roller bearings — NTN spherical roller bearings in the 22000 and 23000 series are made for industrial applications with heavy combined loads and shaft misalignment, such as conveyors, crushers, agricultural machinery, paper mill rolls and marine gear. Their self-aligning design accommodates shaft deflection under load in this kind of heavy machinery.

Housed bearing units (UCF, UCP, UCFL series) — NTN housed bearing units come in pillow block (UCP), flanged (UCF and UCFL) and take-up (UCTU) configurations, in cast iron and pressed steel housings, for shaft support in agricultural, conveyor and general industrial machinery. They are pre-greased, sealed assemblies with self-aligning inserts that accommodate shaft misalignment and simplify installation, supplied as complete housing-plus-insert assemblies ready to fit.
