Our Brands
MK Morse.
An American cutting tool manufacturer founded in 1894, producing bi-metal hole saws, reciprocating saw blades, carbide grit hole saws and band saw blades. It is known above all for the MASTER COBALT bi-metal hole saw, a professional specification for cutting metal, stainless steel and hard materials in the electrical, HVAC and mechanical trades.

About MK Morse
MK Morse Company was founded in 1894 in Canton, Ohio, and has made cutting tools throughout its history. The focus is on hole saws, reciprocating saw blades and band saw blades, a specialist corner of the cutting tool market where product quality has a direct, measurable effect on productivity and cost. A hole saw that burns out on the third hole of a day’s drilling is a problem every electrician and HVAC engineer has run into, whereas a MASTER COBALT bi-metal hole saw that cuts cleanly through fifty or more holes before replacement is a real improvement to both output and cost.
MK Morse’s flagship MASTER COBALT hole saw uses 8% cobalt bi-metal construction: a high-speed steel tooth band with 8% cobalt content, electron-beam welded to a steel body, giving noticeably better heat resistance and wear life than standard M3 or M2 bi-metal hole saws. The higher cobalt content keeps its hardness at the elevated temperatures you get when cutting stainless steel, mild steel and hard materials at production rates, which is exactly where standard bi-metal hole saws give up early.
MK Morse reciprocating saw blades use an M-TOOTH variable tooth pitch geometry that cuts aggressively on entry and smoothly on exit, cutting down vibration and extending blade life compared with constant-pitch alternatives. For trades reaching for a reciprocating saw all day on demolition, pipe cutting and general work, blade longevity feeds straight into operating cost and productivity.
Products We Can Supply from MK Morse
MASTER COBALT bi-metal hole saws. MK Morse MASTER COBALT 8% cobalt bi-metal hole saws come in diameters from 3/4\” (19 mm) to 6\” (152 mm) for cutting mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper, aluminium and hard materials. They are available with and without pilot drill, as individual saws and in trade sets covering the most common electrical and HVAC penetration sizes. This is the most durable bi-metal hole saw in the professional market for sustained metal cutting.
TITANIUM bi-metal hole saws. MK Morse TITANIUM hole saws cut wood, plasterboard, plastic and non-ferrous materials where the premium cobalt specification is not needed. They come in the same diameter range as MASTER COBALT, with a tooth pitch optimised for fast cutting in softer materials. Electricians and builders use them for back box and cable penetration holes in timber stud walls, plasterboard and composite building boards.
Carbide grit hole saws. MK Morse carbide grit hole saws cut ceramic tile, porcelain, fibre cement, slate and other hard materials that bi-metal teeth cannot manage. The tungsten carbide grit edge grinds through these materials rather than cutting them, which makes it the right choice for holes in tiled surfaces, stone and engineering ceramics where a standard hole saw would lose its teeth straight away.
Reciprocating saw blades (M-TOOTH series). MK Morse M-TOOTH reciprocating saw blades come in wood-cutting, metal-cutting and bi-metal (wood and metal) configurations to suit all standard reciprocating saw platforms. The variable tooth pitch M-TOOTH geometry cuts efficiently with less vibration, and the blades are supplied in 5-packs for trade use. They are available in standard (6\” and 9\”) and long (12\”) lengths for standard and deep-cut work.
Industries
MK Morse cutting tools are used by electricians, HVAC and mechanical engineers, plumbers, maintenance engineers, metal fabricators and general construction tradespeople who drill regular holes in metal, stainless steel, pipe and hard materials day in, day out, and who need hole saws and saw blades that hold up over a full working day rather than failing in the first few cuts.

Good to Know
When hole sawing stainless steel, always use cutting fluid or cutting oil. Stainless work-hardens quickly if the cutting action slows or stops with the saw still in the cut, leaving the material harder than the saw can then get through. Slow, constant feed pressure with cutting fluid keeps that work hardening at bay, and it is the single biggest technique difference between a hole saw that lasts and one that fails in stainless. MASTER COBALT copes with stainless better than standard bi-metal, but good technique still counts.
