About Metabo

Metabo was founded in 1924 in Nürtingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and has concentrated on professional power tools throughout its history. The company is part of the Koki Holdings group, which also owns HiKOKI (formerly Hitachi Power Tools), and it has held on to its German engineering identity and manufacturing presence. Much of Metabo’s development effort has gone into durability and performance in metalworking and fabrication, a demanding setting where tools run for long periods at high loads and where a tool failure has real consequences for both productivity and safety.

In the UK professional market, Metabo is best known for its angle grinder range, the WE, W and WPB series. SDS rotary hammers and demolition tools. The Metabo KHE and UHE series are SDS-plus rotary hammers for drilling concrete, masonry and stone, with SDS-max models for larger diameter drilling and light demolition, and MHE demolition hammers for chiselling, breaking and floor tile removal. Metabo SDS tools share the same motor specification as the angle grinder range, which suits them well to sustained heavy drilling on site.

Metalworking machines and bench tools. This part of the range covers Metabo metal band saws (MBS series) for cutting steel section and bar stock, bench grinders for tool sharpening and deburring, pipe threading machines, and the Metabo vacuum cleaner range with M and H class filtration for dust extraction.
