LED Lenser.
A German portable lighting manufacturer founded in Solingen in 1993, producing high-performance LED torches, headlamps and work lights. Its products are trusted by tradespeople, emergency services, outdoor professionals and industrial maintenance workers who need reliable, powerful and focused light wherever they work.

About LED Lenser
LED Lenser (formally Ledlenser GmbH & Co. KG) was founded in 1993 in Solingen, Germany, a city long associated with precision metalworking and bladed tools, and also with the close-tolerance engineering of instruments and devices. The company’s founders developed the Advanced Focus System (AFS), a torch head mechanism that moves the LED relative to the reflector so the beam can be changed from a wide flood to a focused spot with a single-hand twist. The Lenser brand was built around this distinctive optical technology.
The AFS beam focusing system remains the defining feature of the LED Lenser torch range. For tradespeople and maintenance workers, being able to switch from a wide flood beam, useful in a confined space or for reading nearby instruments, to a focused spot beam for inspecting distant objects or lighting a long tunnel or shaft, all with one hand, is a real practical advantage over fixed-beam torches. The range of beam adjustment on offer is also wider than most competitors manage with similar mechanisms.
The product range covers professional torches for demanding outdoor and industrial use, headlamps for hands-free working, ATEX-certified torches for explosive atmospheres (the EX series), rechargeable work lights for site and workshop illumination, and a consumer range for everyday carrying. The professional P-series and MT-series torches and the H-series headlamps are the products most often seen in the construction and industrial maintenance market.
Products We Can Supply from LED Lenser
Professional torches — P and MT series. The LED Lenser P7R Core, P17R Core and MT14 are rechargeable professional torches with outputs from 1,000 to 3,000 lumens, AFS beam focus, USB-C charging and IP67 or IP68 water resistance. The P7R Core is the most widely used professional LED Lenser torch in the UK trades market. It is compact, powerful and rechargeable, fitting in a pocket while still delivering the beam performance needed for inspection and maintenance work in dark or poorly lit environments.
Headlamps — H and MH series. The LED Lenser H7R Core, H8R and MH10 are rechargeable headlamps for hands-free working in confined spaces, loft and ceiling work, and underground and inspection applications. Outputs run from 600 to 1,500 lumens, with AFS beam focus and a tilt mechanism for directing the beam to the working angle. Rechargeable batteries suit daily professional use without the running cost of disposable cells. The tiltable head matters in practice, since a headlamp with a fixed beam angle forces the user to tilt their head to aim the light, which soon becomes uncomfortable over a long shift.
ATEX-certified torches (EX series). The LED Lenser EX7 and related ATEX Zone 0, 1 and 2 certified torches are made for use in potentially explosive atmospheres such as oil and gas, petrochemical and gas distribution, and any environment where flammable gases, vapours or dusts are present and electrical equipment must be intrinsically safe. ATEX certification is a legal requirement for all electrical equipment, torches included, used in designated hazardous area zones.
Work lights and area lighting. The LED Lenser iF8R and iW7R are rechargeable work lights for portable area lighting at ground level or on magnetic or folding bases, while the ML4 and ML6 magnetic lanterns can be positioned hands-free on metal surfaces during maintenance work. These are used for confined space entry, vehicle maintenance, construction and any job that needs a free-standing light source rather than one held in the hand.
Industries
LED Lenser products are used in construction and building maintenance, electrical installation, plumbing and heating, automotive and plant maintenance, emergency services, mining and tunnelling, oil and gas, outdoor and forestry work, confined space entry operations, and any professional or industrial application that calls for reliable, high-performance portable lighting.

Good to Know
For daily professional use, rechargeable torches work out cheaper per hour than battery torches, and they usually pay back the difference against AAA or AA cells within a few months. There is also the environmental benefit, and the fact that battery replacement disappears as a maintenance task. The USB-C charging on the professional range means the torch charges from the same cable as most current smartphones and tools.
