About Hazet

Hazet was founded in 1868 in Remscheid by Hermann Zerver, with the name Hazet taken from the founder’s initials, H and Z. The company has manufactured professional hand tools in Remscheid without interruption ever since, which makes it one of the oldest tool manufacturers in Germany and one of the few major tool makers still producing in the Bergisches Land region where the German tool-making tradition is most concentrated.

Hazet’s reputation rests on precision-manufactured tools at the premium end of the professional market. The chrome vanadium steel in Hazet tools is forged and heat-treated to tight specifications, and the dimensional tolerances on sockets and spanners sit consistently at the tighter end of the DIN and ISO standards that define fit.
