About Gedore

Gedore was founded in 1919 in Remscheid-Hasten, in the Bergisches Land region of Germany, an area that had been a centre of German metal tools and hardware manufacturing for several hundred years, with a particular tradition in precision-forged bladed and struck tools. From those regional manufacturing roots, the company grew into one of Germany’s leading professional hand tool makers, with a notable strength in workshop tools for automotive and industrial maintenance.

The Gedore range covers the hand tools needed for professional mechanical maintenance, including spanners, sockets, ratchets, extension bars, torque wrenches and the specialist torque and impact tooling used in industrial fastening. Products We Can Supply from Gedore

Combination spanners and ring spanners. Gedore’s combination spanner range comes in metric and AF sizes, in standard and slim profiles. The forging quality and chrome vanadium specification give the dimensional accuracy and surface finish that professional use demands. Ring spanners are available in 12-point and bi-hex configurations, along with offset ring spanners for recessed fastener access.

Socket sets and ratchet handles. Gedore offers 1/4\”, 3/8\”, 1/2\” and 3/4\” drive socket sets in standard and deep series, in metric and AF, and in 6-point and 12-point configurations. The ratchet handles use fine-tooth mechanisms that give useful arc movement in tight, restricted spaces. Complete socket set kits come in metal cases for workshop and field service use.

Torque wrenches. The Gedore 8000 series click-type torque wrenches are calibrated to ISO 6789 in 1/4\”, 3/8\”, 1/2\”, 3/4\” and 1\” drive, covering torque ranges from 2 Nm through to 1000 Nm, and are available with or without calibration certificates. The Gedore 3550 series fixed torque wrenches suit production applications that need a single set torque, and electronic torque wrenches are available for digital readout and data recording.

Impact sockets and heavy-duty tooling. Gedore impact sockets come in 1/2\”, 3/4\” and 1\” drive for use with pneumatic and hydraulic impact wrenches. They are made from chrome molybdenum steel rather than chrome vanadium so they withstand the impact loading that would crack a standard socket. They are available in standard and deep series, in metric and AF sizes covering the fastener range common in automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial assembly.
