About Castle Clothing
Castle Clothing is a British workwear manufacturer supplying the UK industrial, utilities, rail and construction markets with compliant protective clothing at prices that work for organisations buying in volume. The range is built around the workwear standards that matter most in UK regulated industries: EN ISO 20471 for hi-vis, EN ISO 11612 for flame-resistant garments, EN 13034 for chemical splash protection, and EN 343 for waterproof and windproof performance. The product offering is structured to provide compliant options across each of these categories.
The brand is well established in industries where workwear is a high-volume consumable rather than a long-term personal kit investment, such as highways maintenance, rail trackside, utilities fieldwork and construction, where garments are replaced regularly due to wear, contamination and the requirements of site access control systems that mandate fresh hi-vis. In these environments, the combination of full compliance certification and accessible pricing is the primary specification consideration.
The Castle Clothing range covers most standard workwear categories in a single product offering, which simplifies procurement for organisations that want a single approved workwear supplier for compliance purposes. From basic EN 20471 Class 2 vests through to multi-norm FR/ARC/HV garments that meet three or four standards at once, the range covers most requirements within UK regulated working environments.
Products We Can Supply from Castle Clothing
Hi-vis workwear (EN ISO 20471). High-visibility vests, jackets, bomber jackets, trousers, overalls and T-shirts to Classes 1, 2 and 3. Class 3 garments, which require a minimum of 0.5 m² of fluorescent material and 0.2 m² of retro-reflective material, are required for most UK road, rail and highway maintenance environments. Castle Clothing Class 3 garments meet this requirement across a range of construction styles and seasonal weights.
Flame-retardant workwear (EN ISO 11612). FR jackets, trousers, coveralls and shirts for environments where flash fire or arc flash is a hazard, such as oil and gas, utilities, electrical distribution, chemical processing and rail maintenance with live line working. Castle FR garments are tested to the thermal hazard levels specified by the standard and carry the appropriate performance level markings on the label.
Multi-norm and combination garments. Garments certified to several standards at once, for example FR plus Hi-Vis, or FR plus Hi-Vis plus Waterproof, which are increasingly required in utilities, rail and highways environments where workers face several simultaneous hazards. A single compliant multi-norm garment simplifies hazard management and reduces the layering required of the wearer.
Waterproofs, coveralls and general workwear. EN 343 rated waterproof jackets and overtrousers for outdoor fieldwork; disposable Type 5 and 6 coveralls; and general workwear including work trousers, polo shirts and sweatshirts to complement the specialist protective range.
Industries
Castle Clothing is used in highways and road maintenance, rail and trackside work, electrical utilities and distribution, gas and water utilities, oil and gas, construction, local government and public sector, waste management, and any industry where workers face hi-vis, flame-resistant or chemical splash hazards and require compliant protective clothing as part of their site access or safe working requirements.

Good to Know
Multi-norm garments that combine FR and hi-vis in a single certified item can reduce the layering and compliance management burden for workers in utilities and rail environments. If your team currently wears a hi-vis vest over an FR jacket, a single multi-norm certified garment may be simpler to manage and more comfortable, so get in touch and we’ll help you work out what’s appropriate.
