Bessey.
A German clamping tool manufacturer with over 130 years of history, widely regarded as the world leader in professional clamps. It is the benchmark against which most other clamping tools are measured in woodworking, metal fabrication and industrial assembly.

About Bessey
Bessey Tools GmbH & Co. KG traces its manufacturing roots to 1889 in Tuttlingen, in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany, an area with a long tradition of precision metalworking and tool manufacture. The company has specialised in clamping tools throughout its history and has developed what is now the most comprehensive and technically advanced range of professional clamps available from any single manufacturer in the world.
The name Bessey is effectively shorthand for professional clamping, much as Hoover became shorthand for vacuum cleaners. Joiners, cabinet makers, metalworkers, welders and fabricators across Europe and North America specify Bessey clamps not because they are the cheapest option, because they are not, but because the clamping force, dimensional accuracy, jaw parallelism and overall build quality are consistently better than less expensive alternatives. A properly maintained Bessey clamp will outlast the workshop it was bought for.
The range spans hundreds of models across F-clamps, G-clamps, parallel clamps, pipe clamps, quick-action one-hand clamps, toggle clamps and welding clamps. Bessey’s investment in clamp design shows in details like the REVO series swivel jaw, the TGK angle clamps and the KR series double-slide F-clamps, where particular clamping problems have been properly solved rather than worked around.
Products We Can Supply from Bessey
F-clamps and sliding bar clamps. The KR and GH series F-clamps are the core of the professional range, with a fixed anvil jaw and a sliding shoe that travels the full length of the bar. Available in jaw openings from 100 mm to 1200 mm and depths of reach from 60 mm to 200 mm. The KRE and KRRE series add a rotating spindle end for even clamping force on irregular or angled surfaces. Bessey F-clamps hold their calibration and jaw parallelism markedly better than budget alternatives over repeated use.
G-clamps. GZ and GH series steel G-clamps for direct work-holding and assembly tasks. They use a forged frame and a precision-machined screw thread, and the difference in clamp force per turn and in thread longevity over cast-body alternatives shows itself over extended use in a professional workshop.
Pipe clamps and bar clamps. Parallel clamps (K-body series) for cabinet making and furniture assembly, where jaw parallelism under load is essential for accurate glue-up joints. Pipe clamp fixtures mount onto standard steel pipe to create variable-length clamps for large panel and frame work.
One-hand quick-action clamps. The EHKM and EHK series one-hand clamps for single-handed work-holding where both hands are needed for positioning. Available in light, standard and heavy-duty versions with jaw openings from 100 mm to 600 mm.
Welding and toggle clamps. Welding clamps designed for holding workpieces during MIG, TIG and MMA welding, with heat-resistant features and jaw profiles suited to holding metal sections at consistent angles. Toggle clamps in horizontal, vertical and latch-action types for jig and fixture work in metalworking and assembly.
Industries
Bessey clamps are used in joinery and cabinet making, furniture manufacturing, timber frame construction, metal fabrication and structural steelwork, automotive bodywork and restoration, welding and fabrication shops, general engineering, pattern making and model making, and any professional workshop where accurate, reliable work-holding is part of daily production. The range is specified by professional users rather than occasional DIY buyers, and the quality reflects that.

Good to Know
Bessey’s K-body parallel clamps are the industry standard for furniture and cabinet making glue-ups. The jaw stays parallel under load, which is what stops the panel bowing as the clamp is tightened, a problem that cheaper bar clamps with less rigid construction cause regularly. If you are setting up a joinery shop, it pays to get the specification right from the start.
