Who We Are
The Tool & Gauge Company (UK) Limited is a UK engineers merchant and industrial supplier based in Hayes, Middlesex. We were established in 2012 and are a member of NMBS, the UK’s largest independent merchant buying group. We supply contractors, manufacturers, site managers and facilities teams with tools, PPE, fixings, abrasives and industrial equipment.
We work on a direct enquiry basis, so every order is handled in person. We quote, invoice and despatch ourselves, which means we know our customers and we know what sells.
Today we carry more than 300 brands across power tools, hand tools, PPE, precision instruments, fixings, abrasives, lifting, gas detection and a good deal more. We’re always glad to add brands that strengthen what we offer.

Trade quality
Products built for professional and industrial use rather than the consumer or DIY market. Our customers are contractors, engineers and site managers who expect kit to perform.
Reliable supply
We need to be confident we can fulfil orders. If you can supply us consistently, whether direct or through a UK distributor, we can sell your products with confidence.
Range fit
Products that complement what we already carry. We’re especially keen on brands that strengthen our PPE, precision tools, lifting, gas detection, welding and specialist categories.
UK availability
You should be able to supply from UK stock or have a UK distribution arrangement in place. We mainly buy direct or through approved UK wholesalers and distributors.
Export potential
If your products can be exported, there’s extra opportunity here. We ship internationally and have customers across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and beyond asking for UK-supplied goods.
Specialist categories
ATEX and non-sparking tools, intrinsically safe equipment, calibrated torque tools and gas detection are areas where we’re actively keen to grow our range.
